A lighter way to carry
powerful vision.
Ever tried to strap a $20,000 sensor to a drone without screwing up its flight? Here’s how we solved it.
We created a lightweight carbon fiber bracket for a hyperspectral camera sensor using a Bambu X1-Carbon printer. Designed in Onshape and tested in Revit, this bracket offers stability and optimal weight distribution, ensuring secure attachment to a drone without affecting flight balance.
Equipped with a Nvidia Jetson Orin for real-time data collection, the sensor can be used handheld or mounted on a drone. A spray paint coating prevents electrical short circuits, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
